Um.. how come you eat out so much?

The New Plan

Remember how I did NoSpend November last year? Well this year I decided to try it in December. There are a couple of reasons for this shift. First of all I had a vacation planned already for November so I didn't want to skimp on it since vacations for me are so rare. The other reason is that while last November was difficult (primarily because of football season) it wasn't as big a stretch to pull off. Christmas is a big spending time and I found that instead of really saving on holiday spending, it could have been differed. So is it really no spend? Tough call.

So this time I figured I would get back into the blogging habit by No Change November showing you what happens in a typical month for me. I will do my best to be realistic about it and not restrict my spending out of shame since you're watching! The only noted difference is that I am not allowing Christmas presents to get stockpiled a head of time. A benefit of this activity is for me to see how well I can track my spending. In this age of digital payments I rarely look at bank accounts or credit card statements. Lets see how it goes!

Day 24: Hoodie

Today the office was only opened until noon and I was the only one in. Breakfast was an apple and a granola bar again and lunch was with Sara and William at Pita Vera (aka More than Coffee). I had pizza since sometimes their food doesn't sit well with me. It's not that it's not tasty... but I won't get into details. After lunch I swung by a shop downtown and picked up a birthday gift for Anna. I wanted to get her something sooner but it was a little tricky with her being with me all last week. I drove back to the house, hung out with Liza a little, threw some clothes in a bag and was on my way to MD after a quick stop for gas. The drive was really easy but I made a couple of bathroom stops and picked up a Dr Pepper at a rest area. Did you know you can buy things with credit cards at vending machines now? Fancy. I called up 511 and there were no tie ups on 66 so I decided I would sneak into Anna's apartment and hide her present. Partway down the road I called 511 again and they said that there was a 12 mile backup on 495 in the direction I was going. Ugh. When I arrived at her place I hid her gift under the bed and checked google maps for details on the backup. It was black on the traffic checker. Ugh. I thought about detours but it didn't seem to be any better way really. Off I went and to my surprise it was pretty much clear. Dinner was very tasty "leftovers" that were really just reheated from an hour previous. It's been three dinners that I didn't have pay for or prepare. Nice to be home. Anna and I watched some shows on Hulu, and when she went to take her dog for a walk I txted her to 'look under your bed'. She liked it
