I'm so embarrased

The New Plan

Remember how I did NoSpend November last year? Well this year I decided to try it in December. There are a couple of reasons for this shift. First of all I had a vacation planned already for November so I didn't want to skimp on it since vacations for me are so rare. The other reason is that while last November was difficult (primarily because of football season) it wasn't as big a stretch to pull off. Christmas is a big spending time and I found that instead of really saving on holiday spending, it could have been differed. So is it really no spend? Tough call.

So this time I figured I would get back into the blogging habit by No Change November showing you what happens in a typical month for me. I will do my best to be realistic about it and not restrict my spending out of shame since you're watching! The only noted difference is that I am not allowing Christmas presents to get stockpiled a head of time. A benefit of this activity is for me to see how well I can track my spending. In this age of digital payments I rarely look at bank accounts or credit card statements. Lets see how it goes!

Day 10: FBMC

Patrick made some great bread which I ate on the way into work. Yogurt was next in the lineup. For lunch I went to Mike's Grill with John and covered his meal. He's been awesome working on my truck for a while now. Getting rid of all the rust making it pretty. Definitely owe him more than a burger and fries but it's a start. I brought in a pie for Aaron to use at our brown bag lunch. It went over well (the pie and the brown bag lunch). Aaron was nice enough to let me take some of the pork bbq home. Oh and a 2 liter of Mr Pibb, which is not as educated as Dr Pepper, but far more silly sounding.

I had to take off a little early and swing by the doc. All seems to be ok, and no offense but I don't know some of you well enough to tell you if it wasn't ;). I brought along my FBMC credit card. It takes money straight out of my flexible medical spending account. So even though there was a copay, it didn't technically come out of my pocket. Sarah came over to pick up some pumpkin to use for a pie. I'm looking forward to a tasty addition to my butternut squash pie. Dinner was bbq and some pie crust remnants. I could have done something more interesting but while pi day (314th day of the year) is today, tomorrow we'll be celebrating with at least 3 pies! Plenty of interesting food to be had. Oh and I forgot to report that I shipped some jelly out today so I paid had to pay for that.
