The New Plan

Remember how I did NoSpend November last year? Well this year I decided to try it in December. There are a couple of reasons for this shift. First of all I had a vacation planned already for November so I didn't want to skimp on it since vacations for me are so rare. The other reason is that while last November was difficult (primarily because of football season) it wasn't as big a stretch to pull off. Christmas is a big spending time and I found that instead of really saving on holiday spending, it could have been differed. So is it really no spend? Tough call.

So this time I figured I would get back into the blogging habit by No Change November showing you what happens in a typical month for me. I will do my best to be realistic about it and not restrict my spending out of shame since you're watching! The only noted difference is that I am not allowing Christmas presents to get stockpiled a head of time. A benefit of this activity is for me to see how well I can track my spending. In this age of digital payments I rarely look at bank accounts or credit card statements. Lets see how it goes!

Day 12: Pickled tree

What a wacky day. I had a bunch of meetings (just like old times). Do I even need to say I had yogurt for breakfast ;)? Lunch was great because I got to see Brittany! She came down for a couple of days and we went to Mike's. Aaron and Daron came too and it was fun to listen to two grown men jab at each other over their diets. After lunch Brittany gave me a pickle ornament that she found up in DC. It's not an ironic entendre or anything. Those who have been to my movie night will get the reference. Work had a few more surprises, big ones, but hey, it's Friday.

After work I went home and saw that Liza had finished up all her food. I ran out and got some for her. After that I ate some of the Hamburger Helper and watched tv with Anna. Later I went to visit Melissa and Emily to share about the work crazy stuff. They told me about their fun at the BCM. Air band contest. Sounded pretty cool. Added bonus for Emily was that she got pie. She's been sick so wasn't able to come to pi night :( Perhaps it will have healing powers. Melissa let me take one of their pumpkins home to make a pie.
