1095 - 5/24/07

5/24/2004 I began working on my house... or rather, what was going to become my house. The first of many projects was clearing out a horribly overgrown garden. 20'x40' of weeds as tall as 4 feet high. I mowed and cut and burned and dug and tilled. Nearly all of my friends have at some point helped me make this garden. I can think of at least 12 people (one lost an eyebrow) and I am sure there were more.

75 strawberry plants were started last year. each of those split into at least 10 more. For the first year, you're not supposed to let the strawberries bear fruit... I cheated a little and picked a few. In this garden, in my garden... 3 years from the day I started.. I have strawberries.
