    A Tasket - 8/26/07

Ever since I bought the the over the toilet hutch I have wanted to replace the storage boxes that came along with it. The existing ones were colapsable canvas cubes. I didn't like the color. Just didn't look right with the grey/white colors of the rest of the bathroom. The best thing I could think of was some sort of basket. Finding one in the right size didn't seem too likely and I didn't look very hard.

Instead I looked for wood so that I could weave my own baskets. In middle school art class I had made baskets and was actually rather good at it. Most everyone in class just wove things out of long strips of stickers with the backing on it (rather hard to explain). Apparently my teacher saw me as some sort of weaving prodigy and I was allowed to weave baskets out of wood. Never knew where he got the wood from though.

In my search to find some around here I didn't have any luck. But then the other day (some 3 years later) at Target I found something that could work.White baskets with a removable blue fabric lining. From what I could estimate, they seemed the right size. I bought one and brought it home. Perfect fit. Taikara picked up 5 more for me when she was out that way on Saturday. I haven't decided whether or not I will use the blue liners yet. For now I have take them out. All in all I think that they came out quite nicely.
