Gift Registry

I always thought that the wish lists for different online stores was a good idea. The only problem is... what if you find better deal at a completely different store? If you buy it at the other place, you risk getting the person getting duplicate gifts. Often times. I just avoid buying things off of a wish list for just that reason. I was planning on making a super wishlist. One that would let you list whatever you wanted, so that it could be purchased anywhere at all without the change of getting duplications.

On Sunday I decided to get to it. I checked around to see if anything was already made. I have little success finding an online wishlist that would work on my server. Luckily I had the bright idea to talk to Matt, he suggested I look for an online registry service. As soon as he said registry, I searched for PHP REGISTRY. After a bit of hunting. I found this project called PHP Gift Registry (phpgiftreg). It was just what I was looking for. With a bit of effort, I made the changes to my server to get things working. Feel free to create your own account, put in your gift wishes and see if they come true!
